There’s something about American Outlaw’s. Clyde Barrow, the famous outlaw that was chased all over the U.S. with his partner Bonnie Parker. They say he was able to stay on the run so long because he had an automatic rifle. Most of the lawmen that tried to capture them were local police.  At the time they had to buy their own guns so most of them had small hand guns. Anything they could get for cheap.

If Clyde were around now he wouldn’t even have the chance to stay out of jail long enough to become a public enemy. He’d probably be a hacker!

I just got done reading an article in the new Rolling Stone about a kid on the run from the law who steals planes for fun.  You really to go buy the issue as I am not going to be able to do the story justice it deserves as the author Jason Kersten did.  It;s the one with Robert Downey Jr on the cover. Colton Harris-Moore is a 19 year old outlaw.  And he’s real! This kid is on the run, eluding the cops as he loots vacation homes and steals small planes to take for joy rides.

I get behind Colt because he isn’t hurting anyone. He’s not a drug addict, based on the article it seems he doesn’t even drink. He’s just a kid making his own rules.  He taught himself how to fly using the internet while hiding out in empty vacation homes.

Here is a photo from a store he robbed. He left a little note on his way out!!! 

This kid just makes me believe.  Period.  I don’t want to go out and steal a plane tonight but deep down I love knowing that Colt might and for nothing more than the thrill of flying.
